Hello all. This week I’m making it quick, as my computer seems to be freaking out. I bring you a list of 13 Vampire films. What would you add to this list?
13 Vampire Films:
1. The Lost Boys (1987)
2. Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)
3. Fright Night (1985)
4. Twilight (2008)
5. 30 Days of Night (2007)
6. The Hunger (1983)
7. Blade (1998)
8. Interview with the Vampire (1994)
9. Near Dark (1987)
10. Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (1922)
11. The Little Vampire (2000)
12. Dracula (1931)
13. Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995)

I can’t think of one to add, but #8 is a favorite of mine!
oh, wait, Frank Langella as Dracula (1979) was delicious!
That’s right. Lost Boys is #1. All the way!!!
I am a chicken twilight is the only one I have seen
That looks like a complete list to me…….I can’t think of any you have left off.
Happy TT!!
I haven’t watched these films, scared though!!!
Lost Boys was filmed right here where we live, in Santa Cruz, CA. Great movie. Love your list.
Haven’t seen any of those yet..
Here is my first Thursday Thirteen
This is funny. I’ve got Lost Boys sitting next to my DVD player right now. I thought I’d watch it for Halloween.
Great list. My daughter went to see The Vampires Assistant last night and was very disappointed. You’ve listed some classics, for sure. Happy T13!
OH TWILIGHT!!

Fright Night is one of my husband’s favorites.
My personal favorite Dracula film is really a British adaptation from 1977 called Count Dracula starring Louis Jourdan and Frank Finlay. The special effects are not the best, but everything else is perfection.
Least we forget the Blaxploitation offering of “Blacula (1972)”. Don’t forget Eddie Murphy in “Vampire in Brooklyn (1995)”. And no list would be complete without Grace Jones’ “Vamp (1986)”.
My T13 is up. 13 Facebook Applications to waste your Time with!
Timely list
Sorry about your computer … hope it straightens itself out!
Hugs and blessings,
Buffy?
You forgot Buffy.
I LOVE Vampires….and I’ve seen all of these films (except maybe Nosferatu…not sure if the one I saw is the one you listed). I’m so excited for New Moon, but I think Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Dracula (love old b&w films!), and The Lost Boys are my favs!
Just here via T13…my own T13 is posted at Music Savvy Mom today instead of my own site, if you get a chance to come by
Lost Boys and Interview with the Vampire are like the best vampire movies ever!!! Twilight is also my guilty pleasure… Robert Pattinson. Enough said.
I also like the 1992 film, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It’s kinda cheesy and dated but still fun. The first Underworld was good… I never saw the second one but heard it was kind of lame. Salem’s Lot is good vampire movie. There are so many versions of Dracula… many good, and many not so much.
Nice list! Very Halloween-appropriate
I’ve seen 5 from your list. Love Lost Boys and of course Twilight. And Bram Stoker is a classic.
Please give Frisbee a couple head butts from us! We’re nearly neighbors, since we are just down the coast in Capitola.
We wanted you to know that we love libraries and librarians! Our Mom’s sister is the head librarian at a small library in Sauk Village, IL and our Mom’s Niece is a librarian at the Champaign Public Library in Illinois and is very active in the ALA.
We think it’s very cool to be a librarian, especially because they believe in freedom of speech and are against censorship!
Purrs and love, Ray and Buzz
Thanks for the addition, Janet. And yeah. Interview was way better than I was expecting.
You know it, Susan! Death by stereo!
Are you going to see New Moon, Marcia?
Thanks for stopping by, Tracie.
Don’t worry, His Unfailing Love. #13 is a comedy.
Hi Busby and Raymond. I love how they called the town “Santa Carla” in the film. I gave Frisbee your love and he purrred mightily in thanks.
Thanks for stopping by, chubskulit.
It’s a sign, Aliceaudrey.
Thanks for the review, Adelle. I was wondering if it would be any good.
Exactly, Mariposa.
I’ll have to see if I can get a hold of a copy of that one, Julia.
Thanks, Dane Bramage! Mind you, Vampire in Brooklyn didn’t really grab me. I still need to see Blacula.
Thanks, Storyteller. I may go blind first.
Thanks, Fourth Breakfast and Ann! I totally spaced.
Hi Devilish Southern Belle! I can’t wait for New Moon either. *bounce*
Hi jillconyers! Another vote for Lost Boys. How can you go wrong with the Frog Brothers?
Love at first bite — I like the original better than the Jim Carey version
