Thursday Thirteen #105
March is just around the corner. Can you believe it? Here are some things headed your way next month.
13 Things About March 2010:
1. March is National Caffeine Awareness Month. How much caffeine do you take a day?
2. March 1-7 is Return the Borrowed Books Week. *ahem* *taps foot*
3. March 1 is National Pig Day. Be nice to a piggy today.
4. March 1-7 is also National Procrastination Week. (No, you can’t procrastinate with the Borrowed Book from #2.)
5. March is also National Umbrella Month. Celebrate this fabulous invention.
6. Ron Howard will turn 56 on March 1.
7. I Want You to Be Happy Day falls on March 3. So does What If Cats and Dogs Had Opposable Thumbs Day. I’m guessing that would make Dogs and Cats happy.
8. I have a couple of friends who would love to learn that March 4 is National Grammar Day.
9. Penn Jilette turns 55 on March 5.
10. March 8 is Fun Facts About Names Day. What does your name mean? Don’t know? Find out on March 10, which is Learn What Your Name Means Day. Middle Name Pride Day is March 12.
11. Micky Dolenz will turn 65 on March 8.
12. Chuck Norris will be giving 70 a good swift kick on March 10.
13. On March 7, I am starting a new job.

Good luck with your new job. I hope it surpasses all expectations. I have my daughters’ sweet sixteen on March 1st and my sons 24th bday on the 27th.
Fun post. Happy T13!
National Pig Day….my daughter would love that as she collects Pigs…I will have to tell her all about it. But then…Ron Howard was born on National Pig Day?!!! No way.
My 13 is literary this week. Scroll down below my Thursday Thunks to find ‘em HERE I’d love to have you visit if you can find time!!
March is an interesting month. I don’t even want to be aware of the caffeine I consume. Sheepish grin. Anyway, I hope all goes well with your new job.
Congratulations on your new job. I don’t take in nearly as much caffeine as I should some days! Yes, I will return the books riding around in my van. Thanks for the reminder!
I take in as little caffeine as I can. My system can’t handle it.
Good list. I’ll plan to give myself a pat on the back next month. I’m down to one cup of coffee a day. That’s a huge reduction from 2 or 3 cups, plus several colas a day, which is where I was 5 years ago. I doubt I’ll ever give up that last cup of coffee.
My T13: Regrets
I try to be good and keep the caffeine intake down to one cup of coffee and either one cup of tea or a cola each day. When I worked at a kennel I used to through 4 to 5 cups of coffee and 8-9 colas a day.
We try never to procrastinate with borrowed books as there is always something else we want to read!

Thanks, Adelle, and happy birthday to your kids.
So it appears, Hootin’ Anni. George Bush and the Dalai Lama were born on the same day too.
Thanks, Brenda. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion…
Thanks for the book return promise (and the good wishes), Gayle! I know what you mean on the caffeine front.
I was reminded about that the other day, Alice Audrey. Too much coffee makes me paranoid.
Good on you, Grandma! *cheers for your caffeine reduction*
I once worked graveyard shift, calicocrazy. I know what you mean.
March will also be my thirteenth anniversary. God, I hope 13 years is better than the twelfth was…
I’ve got my fingers crossed for you, Susan.
Love your post! didnt realize those famous ppl were getting so umm long in the tooth
I wonder if the procrastination week was originally set for this week and they put it off? har har
*gigglesnort*
If that wasn’t the case, it should be.
I’m still laughing about #2. Congratulations on your new job.
Thanks! So…returning those books?
Yay on the new job! Hope it’s fun.
Lyn’s comment is hilarious!
I think it’s fun.
And I totally agree.
Good luck with your new job. Feel free to email me if you get lonely (and let me know where you’re going).
Thanks, Ann. And I’ve emailed you already.
