Let Cypress Resume work for you

Unable to attend any of the “Winning Resumes” workshops to be presented by Tri-Cities One-Stop Career Center (Wednesdays, January 11 from 3:30 – 5 p.m.  at Fremont Main Library; January 19 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Newark Library; and January 20 from  3:30-5 p.m. at Union City Library)?  Don’t worry.  Let Cypress Resume help you write your winning resume.  Just be ready to enter your basic information (personal, professional and education).  To start, visit the Alameda County Library home page at www.aclibrary.org, find the Research tab and select A-Z Resources.  Cypress Resume is under the “C” resource list.   Selecting  Job Search then Resume instead of A-Z Resources will also lead you to Cypress Resume.

Ace the Interview

So you have job interview coming up? How will you put your best foot forward?

Job search specialist and career counselor Eileen Williams can give you timely advice at her follow-up workshop “Ace the Interview: Critical Skills for Midlife Applicants” on October 13, 1- 2:30 p.m. at the Fremont Main Lib rary’s Fukaya A room.

You will have the opportunity to learn:

• What to expect: the interviewer’s agenda and the typical interview format
• Questions to anticipate
• The critical nonverbal message you’ll need to send
