With thanks to Puss Reboots for giving me the idea, this week I give you thirteen books with cats on the cover. This week’s T13 is almost entirely due to the first book on the list below, for the record. I encountered it this week for the first time, and the cat on the cover looks rather like my own feline. Enjoy.

Hello, nos. 3, 4 and 12 look very interesting to me. Thanks for the info. Happy Thursday.
Great kitty list, buit you left out my favorite: The Tao of Mao!
Amy Tan’s Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat is another excellent book to add to your list. 🙂
CATS RULE!!!!!!
My 13 is posted. Either use the link provided at the top of my Thursday blog or scroll down to the bottom of the entry. It’s English for Dummies!…..fun. Have a great day.
What a cute TT! Great idea for a post. I’m only familiar with the Suess book.
Great covers! Who doesn’t love Dr, Suess! My daughter is driving me crazy for a cat!
Happy T13!
I love cats. Mine are behind me now wanting attention. I want to read “Have you feed your cat?” That one looks fun. Happy TT!
Plus, there are the Rita Brown books, and the “Cat Who” books. 🙂
loved the kitty book list!
Wow great idea for TT! Those look like really cute books. TFS
Cats rule – and books with cats on the cover are must-reading. I love the Rita Brown books too!
One more: The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss…! All great books you listed here.
How fun! I’ve always enjoyed it when Puss Reboots does this for T-13 but I’ve not visited in a while. Thanks for highlighting reading ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
aww…what adorable book covers! Thanks for the list! Happy Thursday!
Thursday 13 – edition 7
101 Things About Me
reviewsonbooks, that first one really does look like my cat. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Hazel.
Thanks for the Tao of Mao, Thorne. I’ll have to hunt that one down.
Thanks for the suggestion, Carleen. I think I read that one a while back.
Cats do rule, Hootin’ Anni. And my cats would totally agree with you.
I’m glad that you liked it, CountryDew.
What kind of cat does she want, Adelle Laudan?
Brenda, it’s a cute one. I’m tempted to take it home and get a picture of it with my cat.
true, carmen. I didn’t include them, ’cause I couldn’t decide on which one to use.
Stand by for the doggie book list next week, Harriet.
Glad you liked it, Sue.
I hope that you found something new to read, chameleonsdream.
Grace, that was number 7.
Hi storyteller. I’m glad that I’m not the only one who remembers those posts.
French for cats? Giggle.
I’m glad that you liked them, krissy. 🙂
I own it, aliceaudrey. It’s quite hilarious.
They’re all wonderful. I especially love the cover on the first one. Great idea for a theme.
‘Why Cats Paint’! I got that one for my Mom a few Christmases ago.
Grumpy Cat is one of my daughter’s current favorite books. She does the cutest “Hmph” sound for the grumpy cat. I’ll be reviewing the book soon on my blog.
Henry Beard’s cat books are always fun to read. I’m glad to see that the two French for Cats books have been put together into one volume. I read both about six years ago and laughed myself silly.
Notice how many of those are kids’ books or non-fiction? We need good cats in fiction. GOOD cats. I know, there are a few, but they don’t do it for me.
Anyway, no Roadie Poet in Demo Tapes 2, my friend. RP is saving up for his own collection!
Clara, I’m so tempted to take the book home and get a picture of it with my cat.
Julia, I got it for my dad a while back.
pussreboots, have you read the Poetry for Cats one? It is equally inspired. I can wait for the Grumpy Cat review.
What’s that, Susan?? Roadie Poet will be getting his own volume? Ooooo! I can’t wait.
I enjoy Nick Bruel’s book “Bad Kitty”.
If you are doing a dog on cover list, Bad Kitty’s sequel is “Poor Puppy”. And might I suggest “Bark, George” by Jules Feiffer.
*smacks self on forehead*
Hi Dan. *waves* I already finished the doggie list for Thursday and totally forgot I was going to use Bark, George. Grumble.
Thanks fort he suggestion, and say Hi to George (and the gang) for me.
George is looking forward to the doggie book covers. He’s also wondering why all your lists aren’t dog-related. I haven’t been able to cure him of his ego-centric (or canine-centric?) tendencies.
I’ll pass along the “Hi!”
Love The Cat in the Hat! 🙂
~ Old Mason Jar
Thank you for listing my book “Nora The Piano Cat’s Guide To Becoming A Good Musician: Or How To Get Good At Anything Hard” in your Thursday 13. I’m in such good company, too.
Thanks for stopping by, Nora (and company). I’m a huge fan and so is my Dad. 🙂
I’ve read most of the books on your list. 🙂
