Reader’s Digest published online this month an article entitled “America’s 10 Sharpest, Smartest Cities.” The article (by Karen Cicero) praised Fremont for its low amount of smokers (“about half the national average”) and large amount of patent holders, among other things. Yay, Fremont!
Of the 10 cities listed, two were from California (the other was San Francisco.) The outcome was “based on a formula by leading cognition experts” which included such things as education, diet and exercise habits. Salt Lake City, Utah was cited for their library circulation rate being “nearly double the national average.”
