Tuesday, January 14, 2014 by Librarian X
How would you like to have children hanging on your every word? Bring together books, children, and libraries through community service? BECOME A BOOKLEGGER, and experience the satisfaction of bringing the joys of reading to children in grades Kindergarten through eighth. Eight weeks of training at the Fremont Main Library (to be held on Tuesday mornings, 9:15-11:45 am, January 28 through March 25, 2014) will introduce volunteers to booktalking, reading aloud and storytelling skills; regular visits in the Fremont Unified School District will follow.
The orientation meeting for prospective volunteers will be held on Tuesday, January 21 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in Conference Room A, at the Fremont Main Library, 2400 Stevenson Blvd. in Fremont.
Come join us for an exciting volunteer opportunity! The Fremont Main Library is part of the Alameda County Library system.
