If you do, you know that the RBdigital Gateway leads you to Zinio emagazines, IndieFlix (now renamed InstantFlix) streaming videos, and the FastPencil self-publishing writing, editing and formatting platform. Now add to this list ComicsPlus comics and graphic novels, “with unlimited access to over 16,000 popular and classic titles”. If you don’t have an RBdigital account and have a current Alameda County Library card, now is a good time to explore this service.  To open an account, find the Research tab on www.aclibrary.org, select “A-Z Resources”, then any of the four components (ComicsPlus, FastPencil, InstantFlix, Zinio).  You will then find the RBDigital Gateway registration page.  Enjoy.

I never skip the comics page

Almost without fail, I read the newspaper in the morning.  I start with the front page and work my way through the different sections, at least skimming the articles beneath the headlines and always saving the comics page for last.  I never skip the comics page because there I find profound truths and observations. 

Uncover profundities in the library by browsing where the call numbers start with 741.5.
