Thursday Thirteen #117
What upcoming films are you just dying to see? This is the question that I asked myself this week. So…here are the results. I should note here that I am infamous among my friends for not having seen a film. The conversations mostly go like this:
Friend: “Have you seen [This Shiny Cool Film]?”
Me: “No.”
Perhaps some other time I’ll do a list of thirteen films my friends want me to see. For now, let’s look toward the future.
13 Films I Can’t Wait to See:
1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 (and 2, really).
2. The Hobbit (parts 1 & 2)
3. The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec (a.k.a Les aventures extraordinaires d’Adèle Blanc-Sec) (If it ever makes it to the USA.)
4. The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (I can’t wait to see how this one comes out.)
5. Avalon High (We’ll just have to see how well the book translates to film.)
6. Tron: Legacy (Although I’ll have to re-watch Tron first.)
7. Red (Helen Mirren with a sniper rifle!!)
8. Airborn (If this one gets made, I’m so there.)
9. Breaking Dawn (Parts 1 & 2. Hush. I’m dead curious to see how they manage the Renesmee thing.)
10. The Dragonriders of Pern (Somehow I doubt that this one will ever make it out of development. …But if it does, you can find me in line.)
11. The Sword of Shannara (This is another one that I’m not sure will make it all the way to the screen…but if it does…)
12. Bubbahotep (Yes. I know that this one came out six years ago. I just haven’t managed to see it yet. I’d really like to, though.)
13. Curse (This is currently what they’re calling the first of the films from the Wicked series by Debbie Viguié and Nancy Holder. I happen to know that the film company is working on the script at this point.)
DUDE. I am SO in line for the Dragonriders of Pern with you.
I’m still trying to go see Aang and Appa and Sokka and Kitara and all the rest… If only it would rain, I’d have a good excuse to take the kids (because “It’s too hot to be outside” includes leaving my car to bake in a parking lot while I’m in AC bliss. Right?)
I’m still trying to see the A-Team, even. Le sigh.
Good luck in your film quest with a side of A/C bliss!
This looks to me like a favorite books list. Yeah, I’ll have to see the movies too.
Well…I am quite interested in Book adaptations, Alice Audrey. So…perhaps that has somethign to do with it.
Dude (that would be Susan *g*)- getting out of the heat and into the AC bliss is a totally valid excuse to go to the movies- so enjoy. And if they ever do get the Dragon riders out, I say we all get together and see them.
Me, I’m waiting for #1 and #2. All 4 of them. 🙂
I would totally fly out to PA to see the Dragonriders with y’all. 🙂
